Delia, darling - 49 years ago on this day, you became my wife and then gave me four wonderful children. I now have six amazing grandchildren as well. You made me the happiest man alive in 1963 and we had a life together that was as perfect as perfect could ever be, until last year when, perforce, you were taken so suddenly and much too soon in your life, and we had to say goodbye. I miss you so very, very, much - having you by side at all times, walking hand in hand wherever we went - your lovely smile and your soft and warm personality made my life so truly happy in every way. Today, I am looking at your radiant picture in a photograph when you were at my side as my bride and I am thinking through all the many memories I have of our time together. We did do, and achieve, a lot but there was not nearly enough time......
You made my life complete though in every way and once we had met, I never wanted anyone else as my lifelong partner. I have grieved for you continually since, perforce,you had to leave me - no one else can replace you, and I wish I could just reach out and touch you and see that special warm smile of yours again.
